We’re super excited to introduce this special series of family-friendly events with Anna Aresi, PhD – an expert in multilingualism who works with both families and teachers of Italian as a second or foreign language.

“I work with families who want to build a positive, mindful relationship with their heritage language and culture – people who believe in creating a more open and understanding society, with fewer biases, and who know that speaking another language can really help us see the world from someone else’s perspective.”

During this series, you’ll explore the key ideas behind multilingualism and how children learn multiple languages – and most importantly, you’ll walk away with practical tips, advice, and ideas you can start using right away in your multilingual family.

Each family will receive a short questionnaire to tell us a bit about your language background, your kids’ ages (or due dates if you’re expecting), any challenges you’re facing, and any questions you might have. That way, we can shape the sessions around what really matters to you.

You will also have the option to do some short exercises between sessions. While it’s optional to complete these exercises, they are designed to help you make the most of what you’ll be learning.

Events: 4 sessions (one per month)
Participants: Parents and families interested in fostering bi-/multilingualism at home
Registration: Option to register for a single session or the full series
Recording: Access to the recording available for 3 months after the live event
