GROUP ITALIAN CLASSES FOR KIDS

AGES 3-12
In Girotondo for Italian Bilingual Kids instructors provide opportunities for students to learn Italian through a variety of activities.
Younger students will work on pre-literacy, games, activities, art projects. Older students will master Italian speaking skills as well as reading/writing/grammar using Italian material from schools, magazines, books, and online resources.
This course is intended for children who have a good understanding of Italian. It is designed for those who either speak Italian at home, have taken intermediate Italian classes in the past or have lived in Italy for a short period of time.

AGES 2-3: ALL LEVELS
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Giallo, instructors provide a fun and engaging environment where children learn Italian through play-based activities.
Students will:
~Learn Italian through games, songs, storytelling, and arts and crafts.
~Build everyday vocabulary and simple conversational skills.
~Explore Italian language and culture through interactive, age-appropriate activities.
This is a drop-off program.

AGES 4-5: BEGINNER LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Rosso 1, instructors provide a fun and engaging environment where children learn Italian through play-based activities.
Students will:
~Learn Italian through games, songs, storytelling, and arts and crafts.
~Build everyday vocabulary and simple conversational skills.
~Explore Italian language and culture through interactive, age-appropriate activities.
AGES 4-5: INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Rosso 2, instructors provide a fun and engaging environment where children learn Italian through play-based activities.
Students will:
~Learn Italian through games, songs, storytelling, and arts and crafts.
~Build everyday vocabulary and begin speaking in simple 4–5 word sentences.
~Develop early pre-literacy skills through age-appropriate activities that prepare them for reading and writing.
~Explore the Italian language and culture through engaging, hands-on experiences.
AGES 6-8: BEGINNER LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Blu 1, instructors provide a fun and engaging environment where children begin learning Italian through interactive, play-based activities.
Students will:
~Learn basic Italian vocabulary through games, songs, storytelling, and arts and crafts.
~Begin using simple words and short sentences in everyday situations.
~Practice writing simple words and short sentences.
~Explore the Italian language and culture through engaging, hands-on experiences.
AGES 6-8: INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Blu 2, instructors provide a fun and engaging environment where children continue developing their Italian language skills through interactive, play-based activities.
Students will:
~Expand their Italian vocabulary through games, songs, storytelling, and arts and crafts.
~Speak in longer, more complete sentences while building confidence in everyday conversations.
~Practice reading and writing using “Italiano per Stranieri” materials designed for young Italian language learners.
~Explore the Italian language and culture through engaging, hands-on experiences.
AGES 9-12: BEGINNER LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Viola 1, instructors provide a fun and interactive environment where students begin learning Italian through engaging activities and collaborative learning.
Students will:
~Learn basic Italian vocabulary through games, music, videos, conversations, and interactive activities.
~Begin using simple words and short sentences in everyday situations.
~Practice writing simple short sentences while building confidence in basic communication.
~Explore the Italian language and culture through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
AGES 9-12: INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Viola 2, instructors provide a fun and interactive environment where students continue developing their Italian language skills through engaging activities and collaborative learning.
Students will:
~Expand their Italian vocabulary through games, videos, conversations, and interactive activities.
~Communicate using longer sentences and participate in everyday conversations with increasing confidence.
~Practice reading and writing short texts using “Italiano per Stranieri” materials designed for young Italian language learners.
~Deepen their understanding of Italian language and culture through engaging activities.
AGES 13-16: BEGINNER LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Verde 1, students begin learning Italian in a fun and interactive environment through engaging activities and real-life contexts.
Students will:
~Learn basic Italian vocabulary through conversations, games, videos, and interactive activities.
~Begin using simple words and sentences to communicate in everyday situations.
~Practice writing short sentences and stories while building confidence in Italian.
~Explore Italian language and culture through engaging activities.
AGES 13-16: INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
During the Italian after-school program, Girotondo Verde 2, students continue developing their Italian language skills through interactive activities, conversations, and cultural exploration.
Students will:
~Expand their Italian vocabulary and improve communication skills through discussions, games, videos, and authentic materials.
~Use longer sentences and participate in everyday conversations with greater confidence.
~Learn new vocabulary and practice reading, writing, and grammar using Italian school materials adapted for young Italian language learners.
~Explore Italian culture, traditions, and current topics through engaging activities.
