Certificate of knowledge of the Italian Language (CELI)
CELI certificate, issued by Perugia University for Foreigners, within the ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe), is the Italian language passport that is recognized all over the world!
Collina Italiana (CI) is now the official center for the CELI examination. Candidates who are interested in taking the exam can register and take their test at our cultural centre. Our school offers several group preparation courses. We also offer customized one on one lessons organized in modules of 10 hours(renewable). The study program mainly consists of exam taking techniques through simulations and quick reviews of both grammar and Italian sentence structures.
CELI exam is given in 2 sessions a year (June and November). The University of Foreigners Perugia officially publishes the dates for the examinations every year. The CELI is also valid for admission of foreigners to Italian Universities (CELI 3 level required).

Celi Adolescenti (13-17y)
The Celi adolescenti is an exam geared towards children aged from 13-17. The exam will verify and officially certify (through the University of Foreigners Perugia and ALTE: Association of Language Testers in Europe) the student communicative skills in Italian.
The Celi adolescenti takes place once a year (usually in May) and it is divided into the three levels listed below:
- Celi 1a (Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference)
- Celi 2a (Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference)
- Celi 3a ( level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference)
